because we have chosen to have Hand Fasting in our wedding ceremony, we need a cord to tie the knot with. it seemed natural to us to have our closet friends and family help us braid this cord together as a symbol of all the love that has helped shaped us as people, and that will hold us together after our wedding.

this ceremony will be 45 min- 1 hour long, there will be a braiding participation portion (no braiding experience needed) and many quiet and reflective moments. this will also be a chance for us to share our quiet and more specific vows and goals before the official wedding ceremony the next day.

because this ceremony is on the summer solstice we ask that everyone wear fire or sunset colors that evening.
